Building upon take 1 of the Drag Racer Lab, for take 2 we had to make lego car with gears. Overall the goal was still the same, to make the fastest possible car over a 8 meter course. Through some trial and error, we found that the optimal gear ratio was a 5:1 gear ratio. This gave us our fastest maximum velocity of 1.43 m/s or 3.3 mph. We came 2nd place out of 7 teams in our class in both competitions. Click the link below to see our lab report.
